If you would like to direct your donation to the area of greatest need, this is the correct fund to select. The Opportunity Fund is an unrestricted fund that allows the Westminster-Canterbury Foundation Board to apply your donation where it can make the biggest impact today.

Of all the Life Plan Communities in the Commonwealth of Virginia, ours is one of only three to offer need-based financial support to residents at admission. Peace of mind is easier with lifelong financial security, especially for those who feel there’s a possibility they will outlive their assets through no fault of their own. Today 10% of our residents are here because of generous donations to the Fellowship Fund.

Our community is great because our team members are great. If a team member experiences an unforeseen financial setback, or is striving to achieve advanced certification in their field, we offer whatever assistance we can. Still others may be seeking tuition assistance to help support the broader educational goals of their families. In such cases, the Foundation is committed to help to the extent possible, because our team members help us fulfill our mission every day.

Gifts to the Edge of Excellence Funds provide support to programs and activities that preserve and enhance the preeminence of Westminster-Canterbury. Our Edge of Excellence Funds also help sustain the Library, Chapel, Meditation Garden, and other amenities that enrich community life, building upon our sense of community and social engagement.

Gifts to this fund will support special requests from our Hospice Patients, through our Memorable Moments Program, as well as Community Outreach for Bereavement Support.
